Workshop in Springfield, IL January 19th

Where: Kimberly Smoot's home in Springfield, IL (address will be given to you after registration)

Hotel Information: Hotels on Freedom Drive are recommended Cost: $150/person due at time of registration, 50% refundable only if registration is cancelled by December 1, 2007.

Information: This workshop is for a maximum of 8 people. Kimberly and I expect the workshop to fill quickly, so please register asap to secure your seat. We will learn the basics of studio lighting, everything from hi key to low key. I'll teach the basics of exposure and how to use a light meter. We'll learn how to use 1-3 lights to accomplish depth and interest. Learn how to properly use a main/key light, hair light, and kicker/accent light. We'll also create several looks out of 1 background using light positioning.

While here in South Dakota, Kari and I went to a local garden area to photograph some stuff just for fun!!! I am so glad that we did; I haven't done this kind of photography in so long. Tomorrow, we're going to Sioux Falls to take some shots! I can't wait...will post some of those tomorrow night :)

What an awesome weekend!

I've had a great time in South Dakota. I'm still here and will be taking some scenic photos today. Yesterday was the workshop and it went really well. We had fun models and we shot all day, almost 12 hours of shooting!!! Below are a few images. I will post reviews/testimonials as they come in.
